Sarah McClellan Webb diaries, 1847-1848.

Sarah Isabella McClellan was born in Woodstock, Connecticut. She married twice, first to Isaac Webb and later to Professor Benjamin Silliman. The diaries were written after Webb's death and before she remarried. In addition to the two diaries, the collection comprises an undated photograph of Sarah Isabella, a letter sent to her, and a small account book. The collection also contains additional research and genealogical information compiled by former CHS Librarian Albert C. Bates. Sarah McClellan Silliman died in New Haven in 1875.
